A Cultural Significance
Chinese New Year is just around the corner with the Year of the Snake beginning on January 29, 2025. To celebrate, family and friends often gift mandarin oranges as they have always been considered a traditional symbol of good fortune. This is mainly because the word orange, when spoken in mandarin, sounds similar to the word “wealth”. The orange hue of the fruit is also said to symbolize “gold”, which makes it a very auspicious fruit 🍊
This Lucky Mandarin Tree art piece is creates a 3D effect, with a red vase and the gold chinese character 福 added, pronounced "fú" which means good fortune. Encased in a shadow boxed frame ready to be displayed. Very limited pieces available and each one is 100% unique.
